     Hispanics and african-americans are the two largest minorities in the United  States. They both have had difficulty in the past with income and the demand of basic needs is rising. Collectively, Blacks and hispanics are have a lot of consumer debt such as credit cards and auto loans , do not have a strong savings account or emergency fund, and do not have access to health care or health insurance. It is essential to teach young children about the importance of establishing good financial habits to prevent any financial burdens in the future. Credit and its importance: Americans today are seeing credit impact a big part of their everyday lives. Credit is essential when buying a car and a home but having good credit can save you money in the long run by lowering interest costs. The Help of Libraries for Expectant Parents

Often times, early childhood programs are offered at different libraries. Now, libraries are starting to offer services to expectant parents by partnering up with local hospitals. Take a look at the libraries below that are offering these programs.  Iowa City Public Library- Began a new "prebirth" program called Belly Babies.
